40th anniversary of this momentous period on Peters life .
This artwork is inspired by a story Written by Graeme Rutgers , about Peters journey during the 1979 Repco Reliability Trial , that pushed his driving talents to the limit over a mammoth period of time & distance- as Peter Brock said - " the single , most tough Motorsport event I've ever been in my life " .
Not long after that ,Peter Brock went to win Bathurst in his A9X Holden torana .
That's the soul behind this artwork , completed in a blend of Coffee stain , pinstriping , airbrush , pencils , markers & graphite .
With well over 100 hours invested in designing and completing this artwork . It has been one of the most challenging & rewarding pieces I have ever done !
